Healthy Ideas

Currently it seems like “healthy” is a bit of a loaded word. Everybody has their own perception of what is healthy and what is not healthy. What is good food and what is bad food. And maybe we shouldn’t be labeling food as either. I do not feel qualified to level into that discussion. I am a mirror mortal. I meant mere mortal, but I kinda like mirror mortal. So let me redefine what I mean when I say healthy: to me it means that it is made from whole or minimally processed ingredients, all three macros, is satisfying, and as much as possible nutrient dense. I also try to include all of the senses when I make food- I find that I eat more mindfully when I do so. 


Breakfast | Oats

Ingredients:

1 cup Oats (cooked to package specs)

1 cup berries (Blueberries pictured)

1 sliced banana

2 Tbsp chia seeds & hemp hearts


Breakfast | Parfait bowl


Ingredients:

2/3 cup Yogurt of choice (I prefer Greek for higher protein)

1/4 cup Granola

1 T chia seeds

1 cup mixed Berries
